How do I make a reservation?

Please visit our website at https://www.experiencetheset.com and click on "Reserve Now". On the next page click "Book Table" and select your date. Time slots will open up between 7pm and 11pm. You can only book up to a party of 8 per reservation. We have 12 spots open every 15 minutes. If your party is greater than 8 people you may have to make multiple reservations. If there are not enough available reservation spots available for your selected time slot the system will not process your request.

 

There is no entrance fee, however, there is a $20 per person cancellation fee that will be pre-authorized on your credit card. **This is only a pre-authorization and not a completed and processed transaction. Your authorization will only be processed and completed if your party does not show up for your reservation. If you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so prior to 24 hours before your reservation date and time.

 

Please give the pre-authorization 1-3 business days after your completed reservation to fall off your credit card account.

How do I modify or cancel my reservation?

If an email address was correctly entered when making your reservation, a confirmation email would have been sent to you. From that confirmation email there is a modify button which directs you to the reservation page where you can make notes or cancel the reservation. If an email was not entered or entered incorrectly you likely did not receive a confirmation email and will not be able to access the reservations page. In this case, please email info@experiencetheset.com to request cancellation.

 

If you are trying to add or remove the number of guests on your reservation you will have to cancel the current reservation and initiate a new reservation with the updated number of guests. This is required because the initial reservation was secured with a no-show fee on a credit card for a specific amount based on the initial number of guests. This authorization cannot be adjusted, only cancelled. Please use the cancellation process mentioned in the previous paragraph if needing to cancel.

 

A possible alternative for adding new guests is to try and make an additional reservation for the same date on or near the same time. This method does not guarantee that additional guests with the new reservation at a different time will be able to enter at the same time as the original group. We will do our best to accommodate but cannot make any guarantees.

Is there a time limit?

The Set opens at 7pm. It is recommended to book your reservation between 7pm and 8pm so you will likely experience no wait.

 

Time limit inside The Set is 90 minutes.

 

Once the occupancy load inside The Set is reached, a policy of one guest out / one guest in will be applied.

 

That 80's Bar opens at 8pm. 

 

Guests with reservations at The Set are more than welcome to visit That 80’s Bar while they wait for their “We are ready for you” text message from The Set, however, That 80’s Bar does have a separate cover charge. That 80’s Bar does have DJ and Dancing all evening and Live Bands between 11pm and 12am. Guests of The Set that do pay the cover charge will be given a wristband to enter That 80’s Bar before and after their visit to The Set. 

 

**Please be advised we do follow a strict policy of responsible beverage service and ask that all of our guest consume alcoholic beverages responsibly. Guests exhibiting signs of over intoxication may not be permitted entrance to either That 80’s Bar or The Set.

 

What if I have more than 8 guests in my party?

For groups greater than 8 people you have two options:

 

Different members of your party can make additional reservations up to 8 people each. Keep in mind we only have 12 spots every 15 minutes each night we are open between 7pm and 11pm. You may have to make additional reservations in the next available time slot. Also note the system will not accept the same name and credit card information from one guest for more than one reservation up to 8 people on the same date. If there are not enough available reservation spots available for your selected time slot the system will not process your request.

Where is The Set located?

The Set is located at 10555 Mills Avenue, Montclair, CA 91763 through a secret entrance inside That 80’s Bar. General parking is available across the street in the Pomona Valley Swap Meet parking lot. Upon your approach to That 80’s Bar you will see a podium for “The Set” towards the left of the building. Please check in at the podium with proper identification. All guests must be over the age of 21.

What is your beverage menu like?

We do not serve food but we do create a new handcrafted beverage menu every time the concept or theme at The Set changes. We do our best to use ingredients that are in season and related to the current theme.

 

Our goal is to provide a variety of cocktails on our menu so all our guests have the ability to find something to suit their palete. To accomplish this we make every effort to create two cocktails from each spirit varietal in hopes our guests will find something to their liking. If the specialty cocktails are too complex for our guests, single spirit with mixers can be ordered if the products are in our current seasonal inventory.

 

In addition to our specialty cocktails, guests can find seasonal beer, wine, and a couple mocktails. We also offer coffee and a variety of juice and soda.

What is your bag policy?

No oversized bags or backpacks are allowed. All bags are subject to search upon entry. The venue has the right to refuse entry and to restrict any items at any time without prior notice.
